Cármenes workspace
Cármenes is a Spanish company specialising in the design and production of design-led furniture, particularly sofas. Its headquarters in Sabadell occupies a restored 19th-century spinning mill whose original character has been preserved.
Production and office areas coexist within this industrial setting. Timber frames and textile upholstery are made on the ground floor, while the offices are organised as an open, bright and connected workspace.

The refurbishment organises the offices around generous open areas and glazed partitions that retain visual continuity while providing acoustic separation. The layout encourages communication between teams and creates distinct settings for collaborative work, meetings and tasks requiring greater concentration.

aridi office furniture responds to the project’s different uses. The open-plan work area features a shared desk for six workstations, with an upper shelf that organises and separates each position without enclosing the space.
The meeting room incorporates a large-format table, while the private office combines an individual desk with storage solutions. Lightweight structures, white finishes and coordinated cabinets create continuity across the different rooms.
The neutral palette enhances the natural light and integrates the furniture into the restored architecture. The result is a functional, flexible workplace aligned with the way Cármenes works.
